Merlett is now Continental. The international technology company was established in 1871 and supplies solutions for vehicles, machines and other transportation. In 2018, the corporation generated sales of ¤44.4 billion and currently employs more than 244,000 people in 60 countries and markets. Our expertise complements the Industrial Fluid Solutions business unit. This belongs to the ContiTech business area within the Continental Group, where more than 100 years’ experience make it the expert in hoses and hose lines for all industrial applications.

These include oil and gas extraction, food, water, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, mining, mechanical engineering and many other sectors. Continental’s Industrial Fluid Solutions business unit possess extensive know-how in the processing of rubber and metal and in thermoplastics.

Two worlds and one purpose: Our customers!

As a specialist in thermoplastics, we are expanding Continental’s materials expertise beyond rubber. Furthermore, we are strengthening the corporation’s know-how on the design, processing and handling of thermoplastics for industrial hose solutions. Jointly, therefore, we can offer our customers an even broader product portfolio. Our combined know-how is smoothing the transition from a product supplier to a comprehensive provider of systems and solutions for industrial hoses.

The Industrial Fluid Solutions business unit and the Merlett Group – together made up of almost 3,000 employees at 40 sites worldwide. A sound basis from which to expand our regional presence and develop new sales markets globally. In doing so, we ensure that delivery and quality performance remains at its highest level. The two companies are now playing on the same team – having amalgamated their expertise under a single umbrella.
